Bio

Environmentalist, wife, animal lover, welder, painter, sculptor,
designer, architect, and principal at buhrman.design.

After earning a degree in communication art at East Carolina
University in 1985, Leslie formed Ford Design. Her graphic design
clients included Tupperware World Headquarters, Sunbank and Walt
Disney World Resorts. In 2002, Leslie returned to college to pursue a
Master of Architecture at the University of New Mexico.

Leslie’s architectural design work has been showcased in the Smithsonian
Museum: “Affordable Housing; Designing an American Asset”
exhibition and published in MIT press’ “Home House Project.”

Leslie worked as an architectural designer with Moshe Safdie &
Associates in Boston from 2006 until 2008 on the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. She now lives and works in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Her current
projects outside of Maine include a guesthouse in Marin County,
California and a branding and packaging design for a new specialty
foods product launch.
