MRLD Landscape Architecture + Urbanism is a small office integrating research and design to create beautiful, contemporary and adaptive places. For more than ten years we have been sharing an enthusiasm for quality and innovation with a dynamic range of clients. This mutual appreciation of design excellence fosters integrity in all aspects of our work.

Organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, the American Planning Association, the Portland Society of Architects, the Congress for the New Urbanism, MoMA / PS1, MaineBiz, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federated Garden Clubs of America, the National Association of Home Builders, the Greater Portland Council of Governments and the American Society of Landscape Architects have recognized our work for the design of civic spaces, landscapes, cities, waterfronts and community relations. Mitchell Rasor, MRLD Principal, has been a critic at Bates College, the University of Virginia and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a frequent speaker and writer on strategic infrastructures, mobility, critical theory, location efficiency and applied practice issues.
