The PSA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD is presented to a firm, individual, or organization that, during its existence, has made creative contributions of outstanding artistic, social, or cultural significance to the built environment. For their pursuit of excellence and consistent striving to make Maine a better place, we honor them.

PSA presented the 2009 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD to

PAUL STEVENS of SMRT in honor of the four generations of Stevens family architects, and in recognition of the 125^th anniversary of the founding of SMRT by John Calvin Stevens.

Following John Calvin Stevens in the firm were John Calvin Stevens II, John Howard Stevens, and Paul Stevens.  Since 1884, the firm has designed residential, medical, education, industrial and government buildings throughout Maine and the Northeast.
