The Complete City Mapping Project – Tell Us What you Love or Don’t Love About Portland!

Portland Society for Architecture is excited to share our summer community engagement program: The Complete City, in partnership with Creative Portland, The Muskie School of Public Service, The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, and University of New England.

The Complete City is a mapping project that provides a blank map of Portland and asks citizens to tell us what they love, don’t love, and wish were different in our small, but great city.  It is our hope to collect as many maps as we can from a wide range of neighborhoods and people who live and work in Portland. These maps will create a new vision of and for Portland that stems entirely from the diverse voices of the people who live here.

This is the third in a series of PSA summer programming that addresses the challenges and opportunities of growth and change facing the Portland community. The mapping visuals and results will be available for review and conversation at Space Gallery on September 27th, followed up by a collaborative discussion in October with our partners.

We need your help distributing this project!

Please join us on Wednesday, August 9th at Deering Oaks Park Stage, from 5:30-6:30 to learn more.If you are unable to make the date next week, we’d love your help spreading the map and/or website (www.thecompletecity.com) to your friends and collaborators.

Hopefully see you on Wednesday!
