Please join us for an inside look at one of the city’s largest firms, and their renovation and new studio!

Located in the former home of the John J. Nissen Baking Company building, SMRT embraced the character of the 100-year-old industrial space by exposing brick walls, a steel structure, and a wood ceiling deck. SMRT’s 18,000-square-foot space nurtures our company culture of community and inclusion and our passion for design and mentorship.

Complete with clear sightlines and proximity to teammates, interior spaces include convenient, adjacent, and collaborative areas; tech-enabled meeting rooms of varying sizes; and private rooms for individual focus and reflection. The bright and inviting space includes gallery walls showcasing project work and ample pin-up and dry-erase real estate, fostering collaboration, and offering visitors a glimpse into the design process.

The project is currently in the final stages of receiving its WELL certification, a tangible commitment to the health and well-being of SMRT employees.
