Our community, like many others, is struggling with an influx of national and multinational corporations displacing local businesses and the consequences of rapidly rising rents. As an organization, it is our mission to support Portland’s locally owned, independent businesses. Portland Buy Local will be hosting a community forum on September 28th, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, to collectively decide how we want to combat these issues.

Why: To discuss, and work toward combatting, the issues associated with Portland’s influx of national and multinational corporations displacing local businesses and the consequences of rapidly rising rents.
